Ensure your work area is clean, dry and free of dust. |

Cut a 2" [5.08 cm] high x 10mm [1 cm] wide piece of clay slab. |
Step 3 |
Poke a hole on the top of the shape using a clay awl tool. |
Step 4 |
Preheat the oven to 250°F [120°C] and allow the oven to come to temperature. |
Step 5 |
Place the clay piece carefully on an oven-safe baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then put it into the oven for 15-20 minutes. |
Step 6 |
Once baked, remove the clay piece from the oven and allow it to cool completely before handling. |
Step 7 |
Open a bail using flat pliers, then attach the bail to the top of the clay shape and close it securely. |
Step 8 |
Thread chain through the bail. |
