I wanted to give 5 stars, but...
After installed, one snap combo is so difficult to snap closed, that I decided not to use it at all. I think the 'female' side has a defect bc it looks like a metal piece does not go all the way around. I hope 1 of the remaining 4 snaps works ok (cross fingers).

It's a snap to use these
I needed to add some snaps to my kilt to wear to a friends weeding. The friendly Michaels associate helped me find the right ones that matched the ones already on my kilt (size wise). They were easy to set - you will need to punch a hole through the material first. After I set them, they stayed securely in.
