polymer clay bracelet
Learn how to craft beautiful polymer clay jewelry the easy way! This new, revolutionary product has the designs already in the clay! Simply cut, bake and assemble!
Step 1 |
Ensure your work area is clean, dry and free of dust. |
Step 2 |
Take a small portion of the clay slab and shape it into a 10mm circle, use a blade to removed excess clay from the top and roughly shape the remaining clay into a ball using your fingers. |
Step 3 |
Place the clay ball into the corresponding 10mm track of the bead maker, ensuring the tracks line up. Close the bead maker and gently move the top and bottom parts in opposite directions 4-5 times. |
Step 4 |
While the bead is still in the bead maker, poke a hole through the center of the bead using a tool. |
Step 5 |
Repeat steps 2-4 to create a total of nine beads. |
Step 6 |
Preheat the oven to 250°F [120°C] and allow it to reach the desired temperature. Place the clay beads carefully on an oven-safe baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15-20 minutes. |
Step 7 |
Once baked, remove the clay bead pieces from the oven and allow them to cool completely before handling. |
Step 8 |
Slide an eye pin through each clay bead, then bend the eye pin to a 90° angle and cut it, leaving a ¼" [0.6 cm] tail. Use round pliers to create a simple loop at the end of the eye pin. Repeat this process for all nine beads, creating connector beads. |
Step 9 |
Attach each clay bead connector to a 9mm jump ring by opening and closing the jump ring using flat pliers. |
Step 10 |
Attach a lobster clasp to one end of the bead connectors using a 9mm jump ring. Open and close the jump ring using flat pliers to secure the lobster clasp in place. |
